Workplace Assessments for Vision Impaired

Assessments are conducted on site to determine the needs of the role and to describe any existing barriers to full employment. All elements of the role are considered, including access to print material and the computer. Usually, roles have some unique element to them, and this is covered during the assessment.

Chris Waller Consulting is able to conduct Braille based assessments for Braille users.

A comprehensive report is prepared for funding sources.

School

School based assessments are undertaken to highlight appropriate equipment for the different school stages. These are conducted at the school and as required. School assessments require permission from the school and aren’t usually government funded.

Home Based

Home assessments can be delivered to match available equipment with a family member’s needs. Home assessments are usually a Fee For Service item. Chris Waller Consulting does not provide services for My Aged Care or department of Veterans Affairs.

NDIS

Chris Waller Consulting is not an agency registered provider and does not conduct NDIS assessments. Assistance can be provided for purchasing training and equipment. Please contact to discuss.

Medico-Legal

Medico-Legal assessments are conducted in conjunction with Unisearch. As an officer of the court an impartial, detailed assessment is conducted and reported on for funding considerations into the future.

Building Access

Chris Waller Consulting can conduct an access audit. An access audit rates a building against relevant Australia Standards for useability and access for a range of disabilities.
